So much in life, including college, takes efforts bigger than talent. 

  
If you are willing to dedicate yourself to this list, you too can make it into, through, over, and around the challenges that you WILL face. 

My sincerest apologies for the lack of posts in the last few weeks, but Gen1Grad will be back in full effect March 1, 2016!

I will read this every day this week. Who will join me?

The end of the semester is closing in fast. 

This is the time to buckle down and focus. 

This is the time to make sure your (current) grades are correct. 
This is the time to start reviewing material that may be on the final exam. 

This is the time to meet with your Professor to ask any questions you may have.  

This is not the time to slack off. 

Go to class. Take notes. Complete an submit quality work on time. Finish the semester off strong. 

I want better. So, I have to make some changes. 

This week, I am going to “browse” social media outlets less and watch less TV so that I can focus on my purpose. 

What are you going to change in order to earn different results?

  
When an Instructor, a Professor, a member of the staff, someone in Administration, or even a fellow student takes the time to help you out (for example: write a letter of recommendation, introduces you to someone in their network, or agrees to proofread your resume, etc.), take a few moments to write or type up a quick “thank you” note. 

A simple “thank you” can go a very long way!
